Lewis & Clark Bank Steps Up to Boost Startups with Strategy and Experience.
Lewis & Clark Bank knows what it takes to succeed as a startup, and now it's sharing that experience with Portland's entrepreneurs.
The bank recently teamed up with the Portland Development Commission (PDC) as a contributing member to the Produce Row Startup PDX:Challenge. The contest, which launched last month, is a new initiative designed to connect Portland startups with the tools they need to succeed and grow. Contest applications are currently being accepted through April 4th, 2013.
The Startup PDX:Challenge is the next step in Portland's transformation into a thriving startup community. The Challenge will offer access to accelerator programs and other organizations focused on establishing sustainable futures for new companies. Challenge winners will co-locate in Portland's Produce Row, a neighborhood known for its DIY philosophy and thriving entrepreneurial spirit.
The winning startups will receive a business development package valued at $40,000 per company, contributed by several local sponsors, including Lewis & Clark Bank. More details about the contest and prizes can be found here.
Lewis & Clark Bank's contribution goes beyond sponsorship, however. With its team of experienced "Bankerpreneurs," the bank is stepping up to provide its singular brand of strategy and experience to Portland's startup organizations.
For each contest winner, Lewis & Clark Bank will contribute a membership into its Strategic Business Forum - a program that develops business fundamentals through monthly hands-on, peer-to-peer learning workshops. Each meeting is led by an experienced business strategist, and is aimed at helping members focus on the essentials of strategic planning, as well as ensuring familiarity with best practices for forums.
